My Identity In Christ

The following quote was from Pastor Ron Cook’s message at Southpointe Baptist Fellowship this morning: “Because of Christ’s Redemption, I am a New Creation of Great Worth. I am deeply loved, completely forgiven, fully pleasing, totally accepted by God, and absolutely complete in Christ.” No matter where we’ve been or what we’ve done, if we will turn to Christ with a repentant heart, this acceptance and forgiveness is ours. Praise God for the gift of redemption through Jesus Christ!

God’s Grace

Recently, God’s grace has become more real than at almost any other time in my life. 2 Corinthians 12:9 says, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” In this verse, Christ is telling us that if we will simply trust in him and no one or anything else, his strength, his power, his love, his grace toward us will be everything we need to pull us through whatever trials we face. God has recently allowed and is continuing to allow me to experience a difficult trial. Even though it has been rough at times, I know that God will give me all I need to survive and thrive in the midst of hardship. It is in these moments of trials that I must remember James 1:2-3: “Consider it pure joy, brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance.” No matter what trials we face, may we never forget that
God is in control, he loves us, and will always give us the grace that is sufficient at all times.
