God Chooses To Love Us

Today, I read Romans 9. What stuck out to me the most is what God said to Moses in verse 15: “For He tells Moses: ‘I will show mercy to whom I will show mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion.'” It struck me that God could very easily have chosen to not bless me with anything and He would have been within His right. However, God chose to love me and you far beyond anything we deserved. He not only gave us the breath of life, but He also gave us every little thing in life we take for granted every day. Then, to top it all off, God sacrificed His One and Only Son for each of us. He could have chosen to show us no compassion. Instead, God chose to love us. Let us be thankful to God for everything He has given us.

God’s Love Can Never Be Taken Away

This evening, I read Romans 8. I have read this chapter many times and what always stands out to me are two things:

1. Everything God does is always in our best interest. Whether it is allowing us to go through trials or experience great victories, God always works for our good.

2. Once we give our lives to God through faith in Jesus Christ, there is no one who can take us from Him. We have security in knowing that once God receives us, He will never let us go.

Always remember that no matter how bad things may seem, God loves you and will see you through.
